DeviantArt 15th Anniversary Questionnaire

How long have you been on DeviantArt? I've been here for over 8 1/2 years since I joined on December 29, 2006.

What does your username mean? It's a pun on my last name, Gename (pronounced gun-NAIM), which is a unique German last name. Plus, it has the word "name" in it. So, germanname.

Describe yourself in three words. I'm upbeat, charitable, and most of all, determined.

Are you left or right handed? I am right-handed.

What was your first deviation? It was a concept sketch of one of my Sonic OC gals, Tammy Palos. She's changed a lot since then. The concept had her with lightblue eyes before I changed them to mint green.

What is your favourite type of art to create? I actually have two types. I love making drawings based off of the Sonic video game series as well as illustrations based off of the popular television game show Wheel of Fortune.

If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be? I'd love to improve my shading and shadow styles in my Sonic drawings.

What was your first favourite? I can't remember exactly which one, and even if I did, it has probably since been removed, but it was probably art of one of my favorite Sonic gals Amy Rose.

What type of art do you tend to favourite the most? I favorite Sonic fanart all the time.

Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist? All time favorite? Hmm, that's a tough one, but if I had to choose one it would likely be my good buddy, wheelgenius.

If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be? Ooh, an even tougher one. Still, I think it would be LouisEugenioJR1990.

How has a fellow deviant impacted your life? wheelgenius has fantastic Wheel of Fortune illustrations, and we've always looked up to each other for information about the show, we've helped each other out during tough times, and he's inspired me to improve my Wheel of Fortune illustrations throughout the time we've known each other.

What are your preferred tools to create art? For my Sonic drawings, I use colored pencils. For my Wheel of Fortune illustrations, I use the PC programs MS Paint, Microsoft Publisher, and Microsoft Powerpoint.

What is the most inspirational place for you to create art? That would have to be my own home, although I've drawn art while in high school and college.

What is your favourite DeviantArt memory? My favorite DeviantArt memory was when Victim-RED made a custom plush figure of Cosmo (from Sonic X) for me. I still think happily about the day Cosmo arrived in the mail on August 8, 2011. Victim-RED is currently making another plush figure for me, this time of Sonic's sister Sonia from Sonic Underground. :thumb244913035::thumb244913260:
